I definitely made my last spring break ever count! I had the opportunity to take a girls trip to Oahu, Hawaii with my best friends from college and it was an experience of a lifetime that I will never forget.
Oahu is known for its beautiful hikes and scenery. My favorite hike we went on was to Manoa Falls. This stunning trail takes you through a lush rainforest, and the waterfall itself is absolutely breathtaking. It was an amazing experience to stand at the base of the falls and feel the cool mist on our faces. We were able to swim in the waterfall! The hike wasn't bad at all. It took approximately 35-40 minutes to reach the waterfall.
Another unforgettable experience was visiting the Dole Plantation and trying their famous Dole Whip. This pineapple-flavored treat is the perfect snack on a hot day, and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely my new favorite desert (way better than Disneylands dole whip). We also had a chance to explore the plantation and learn about the history of the pineapple in Hawaii.
We rented a car for this trip and driving around the entire island was definitely an exciting experience. We were able to see everything from the beautiful beaches of the North Shore to the rugged coastline of the West Side. It was an amazing way to experience the diverse beauty of the island and see some of the lesser-known spots.
We also had the opportunity to go snorkeling at Shark's Cove in the North Shore. We were told to not let the name scare us, as there's no sharks. However, there was a baby shark hidden along the reef when we went! This pristine cove is home to an incredible variety of marine life, including colorful fish, and sea turtles! It was an unforgettable experience to swim among these amazing creatures in their natural habitat.
Of course, no trip to Hawaii is complete without attending a Luau, and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the entertainment was amazing. We were able to experience traditional Hawaiian music, dance, and storytelling, and it was a great way to immerse ourselves in the culture of Hawaii.
Overall, our Spring Break trip to Oahu was the best vacation experience of my life. From the stunning natural beauty to the inc
redible food and warm hospitality, every moment of the trip was unforgettable. If you're considering a trip to Hawaii, I highly recommend gathering up your favorite people and booking those tickets!
